RSX Type R ~ Where to find replacement rotors ???
I completed the full switchover into my SI about 2 years ago now, and I am having a hell of a time finding replacement rotors for the vehicle.
The Type R suspension came with Brembo 4 caliper brakes and huge rotors (almost 12 inches).
Several companies have come down to the shop with boxes of rotors... many fit, but none have the "hat" size that is required for the vehicle. The "hat" as the shop told me is the center metal portion that sticks out above the main circular portion.
I called a few of the shops advertised here, currently it seems that Spoon is very optimistic about tracking down the correct rotors but if any of you have any insight i would greatly appreciate it.
FYI ~ if your in the same boat as me, i had a helluva time finding brake pads also, a company that calls their pads "Green Sticky ****" or "Green Pads" carries them, they are listed as "Mazzarati / Porche" pads but they are an exact fit for the JDM Brembo.
Thanks in advance.

orz, they dont have the hat portion tall enough for my car. I have been on the phone all day with people all over the united states.... the depth from the top of the hat to the bottom of the roter is 2 and a quarter inches. I found a guy in switzerland that is going to ship over blanks, and the machine shop near me is going to dimple and slot them and put on a nice gold coat finish. Im excited but im not going to get the rotors for 2 weeks.
For some reason *all* of the DC5 rotors that people sent over to the shop just didnt have a tall enough "hat" Even though they are sending over rotors built for that car. I dunno the whole thing has my head spinning. Ill take some pics w/ my digital camera once the replacements are here and post up shots of my old rotors and the new ones so you guys can all get a better feeling for what im talking about
Thanks for the feedback

I'm in the same boat as you with my EP3. Mugen has rotors for this application. You can also use front pads from a Brembo A-Spec TL, if you want a stock pad, or if you want a track pad, you can get Cobalt GT or VR's off a 350Z. If you have any questions, let me know. I have them
