Default IAT position question

ok I am swappin over to a d16y8 mani on my z6 that I am building for turbo......now I know alot of people relocate the IAT to the intake piping like they come on the newer civics. But I was wondering if I should drill and tap some holes into the intake manifold itself.....there is a nice flat side on the drivers side that is looking pretty simple....I just want your guys opinions on yah go for it or no that is stupid thanx

either spot should work fine. If you feel confident enough to drill and tap your intake then go for it. But drilling a spot on the charge pipe is way eaiser.

I used self tapping screws and some black RTV (very little) to put mine on the intake pipe and its has no leaks. But since your boosting you may have to get a little more creative.
