I just recently got a 5 point harness and im not sure exactly how to mount it to be nhra legal. I have a 6 pt roll bar in my car currently I was just hopin someone could post a pic of how they mounted thiers? thanks

I dont have a pic, but here you go. the shoulder straps mount to the cross bar behind the seat, the crotch straps mounts through the floor of the car under the seat just behind where your butt would be, and the other 2 straps mount to the stock seat belt mounting points on either side of the seat. Hope this helps you out.

I think if you look on the NHRA webiste for thier rule book there is some good diagrams how they have to be... there is certian things with the shoulder straps with the hiegt ect in relation your body...

Do it right cause its your *** in the seat... Im sure you know that... but I wouldnt wanna read about a fellow racer getting hurt becasue of bad belt install..

 

Yea, i have that diagram I just dont know if i should run the bolts through the floor board or mount them to the seat belt locations like he posted in his pic

 

The belt positions were checked by a NDRA offical at the Rockingham race.

 

What kind of seats do you have? Does the roll bar have a cross brace that goes from one side of the car to the other and a little below your shoulders? Does the stock lap belts mount to the chassis and not to the seat?
