You do not want the harness to mount straight behind the seat. apon a accident it could cause spine compression..
Do it the right way and get a harness bar.

He doesn't seem to be interested in actual safety, just in getting those "racing" harnesses installed ASAP.

WOW... dont put your harness in jsut yet.. looks like your just doing it cause ITS COOL.. there is actually a Vital Function to all of these safety items..
Please do not install them. Stop your self right now. you need to do alot of research on these products.
Autopower makes a nice Roll bar/cage setup.. they have a 4 point and a 6 point with bolt in applications which also could be welded to the chassis. Not sure if they are NHRA Certified so that you can run 11.49's or faster.
There is a big list of rules for everything that you want to do. i suggest you start researching

First off, don't use a 4-point harness unless you like submarining under the lap belts and squashing your intestines. 5-point, 6-point or 7-point harnesses are acceptable, but do not wrap the sub strap(s) directly around the front of your stock seat, because you'll still submarine under them. Use a properly-installed FIA 8855-1999 certified seat with a slot in the bottom for the sub strap.

Never route shoulder straps directly to the front seat mounts unless you want your spine to be compressed in a collision. They are to be at no more than a 45-degree angle to the perpendicular to your spine - the shallower the angle, the better. Also, if you drill holes through the floor pan to secure the belt ends, make sure you use large backing plates (no, a simple small washer is not enough) to disperse the load and keep them from pulling through.

Never wrap shoulder straps around a C-pillar brace or a strut tower brace unless you want a face full of windshield in a collision. ALWAYS mount shoulder straps to a harness bar that is properly secured to your roll bar or roll cage.
Basically, if you don't have a(n SFI padded) roll bar with a proper harness bar, a(n SFI-rated) 5-point (or more) harness, and a(n FIA-certified) seat with a slot for the sub belt, then I recommend that you stick with the stock belts. Safety equipment is designed to work together in a system - any missing piece will compromise your safety and could possibly render the system less safe that the stock setup in some situations.

You should have said that in the first place That harness will be okay for autocross runs. Just don't use it on the street . . .
Mount the shoulder straps to the rear seat belt mounting points on the floor.
Again, I stress, please don't use it on the street or the track, for your own safety. Autocross only.
