Default prelude starting problems

well i've done alot of different things and i just keep going down the line....so far i know its not the main relay, fuel pump, or starter. it only doesn't start in the morning, or maybe its just the first time you try to start it that day not sure cause i always start it in the morning. it doens't have any spark but the engine cranks over fine. then sometimes after it starts i'll go down the road and it will cut off. but i never have any problems with it in the afternoon? i guess the next thing im gonna try is getting a new dizzy. any thoughts?

ok so i go to check for any cells and i realize that the check engine light on the cluster never comes on? i know its suppose to atleast flash when the car turns on but it doesn't even do that. all the other lights work though. any idea? is it just the bulb is blown or is there a problem somewhere else? i think it might have to do with the starting problem, let me know please!

well i took the dash apart and the dumb **** who had the car before me just tossed the CEL plug and bulb so i had to switch the one from the trunk to it but now i can see whats going on.

getting codes:

15 - ignition output circuit
23 - knock sensor
41 - o2 sensor

the knock sensor isn't plugged up because there wasn't a knock sensor on the back of the f22a that i put in it, but it was on the h23 i took out. is that a problem? is there a knock sensor on a f22?

o2 sensor i'll just buy a new one he had a air/fuel gauge hooked to it so maybe it killed it

i searched and came up that the ignition control module must be defective or have a loose connection im thinking the loose connection because once you get it started the first time in a day it will cut off once then run great for the rest of the day. so where is the ICM located?

also there was a 1 wire plug that i didn't connect back where the oil filter is i figured it was for the oil pressure switch but its got a different connect, kinda like it slides onto a bolt and then you screw a nut down on it. mabye something they rigged up for the oil gauge they had dunno.

The f22 does not come with a knock sensor, therefore you have to tap in the knock sensor directly into the ecu for th h23.

well you see the problem is, its 92 si and it came with the h23 with knock sensor, i put in a f22 without the knock sensor, so the ecu is still looking for it to be plugged up. how can i disable it or whatever?

just plug a knock sensor into it and like tape it to the firewall or somethin. that should keep your mil from coming on and annoying the hell out of you.

if you take the cap and rotor off the distributor you'll see 4 wires pluged into a square chip which is the ICM. there is 2 phillips head screws that take it out. let me know if you need a picture and i'll try to get you one but you shoudln't have a problem.
