crx consol in civic????
ok i was wondering if any body knows if the 90 crx center consol that fits around the shifter, would fit in a 90 civic. i know it will fit around the radio and heater controls. but is the part that reaches out around the shifter long enough to fit the civics shifter. because i hate how it looks just sittin their all by its self.....o by the way my civic is a 90 civic HB STD. if that matters..............thanks
Dude... If you are not converting the Dash to CRX as well, don't try it. Get the 94+ Integra console with arm-rest and be done with it in one shot.
My 88 Std took a different (and more expensive) approach. I tracked down some odd OEM EF-model console parts like the Canadian Special Edition for the hatch. It reaches all the way from the climate control/radio area to the E-brake, though all the goodies cost me about $230 including shipping. I could have gotten the Teggy console for that much or less and had an arm rest. I am not converting it again, I like what I have, but for somebody starting fresh, that might be a good idea and keep the mis-matched odd parts of the CRX console out of your hatch dash assembly.
P.S.
The distance from the shifter to the e-brake and mid-upper climate/radio console is the same in all the EF-based Civic/CRX models which is why converting and customizing is so easy as long as you can match the tabs

Definately opt for the GSR console...you will not be dissappointed. Looks awesome, fits like an OJ glove and you get storage and cupholders! What more do you want? Here's a pic of mine in my EF hatch...

yah that does look swell. so does the consol come with the climate control and radio part or so you use the OEM one???? looks lik its the OEM one in the pic... i think im goin to go with the teggy consol. so its the 94 that fits it right?? also if i cant find a 94 what year/ years are compadible. once aggain thanks for all the help guys....
the console in my car is from a 99 integra GSR. I think any year integra will fit from 94-99. I believe LS/GS integras have different looking center consoles. And yes the climate controls and such are not part of the conversion...just everything underneath.
