Ok i searched and found nothing on this and since i'm looking for new seats for my 4th gen i figured id ask this. Are all 4th gen prelude front seats interchangable? As in if i were to get seats from a 96 Si to put into my 92 Si would they bolt right up with no modification?

The reason for asking is that i was going to go with a set of aftermarket seats, and i found brackets for them. Well the brackets were only listed for 95 preludes and I asked the company if they would fit other 4th gen years and they said sorry that they would only fit 95 preludes. I was under the impression that all 4th gens were the same.....could someone help me here? Thanks

 

i have 94 seats in my 96 bolt in the same.

 

All the 4th gen seats I think have the same mounting points, although the seats themselves aren't the same. The 94-96 seats are a little higher. I would ask this company why their seat only fits 95s, and if they have a different one for different 4th gens. If nobody can give you an answer, don't worry about it.

 

if thats the case then, i think i'll just go with the 96 seats if they will bot up to my 92 just fine. Mine work fine but the previous owner beat the crap out of them and they are worn badly and stained

 

sorry to hijack this thread but it's kinda related: what seats from other hondas/acuras will fit 4th gens?

 

any other seat from acuras or hondas will fit if you have the right tools and the skill to make them fit

Other than that no other ones will bolt directly in without modification.
