honda/acura how much is interchangeable
ive got a 1992 hatch CX with the 1.5 nonvtec motor. im getting a 1996 integra LS motor and trans, but i need the shift linkage. Will my old shift linkage work? and if not which shift linkages are interchangeable with the LS? I read that the B16a and the GSR linkages can be put in i wasnt sure if that would work in my car for some odd reason.
thanks again

well all i know is, ur cx had a d-series trans and ur ls has a b-series trans. also the cx was mechanical/cable while the ls is hyrdaulic. i dont believe they are but maybe? i havnt exactly looked into it. for one thing tho, make sure you have the ecu for the LS and wiring etc because it is OBD2.
Yea forgot to say that i have a hydraulic trans on the CX. I believe the kid i bought it from swapped in 1994 motor and trans. Im not sure but the point is that i have a hydraulic tranny and need some shift linkage. i have everything else accounted for in the swap except the shift linkage.

The reason you have a hydro tranny is because all civic's 92+ have hydro trannies stock. NO ONE swapped it. The LS motor will bolt right up, use civic or integra rear and top tranny mounts and the integra driver mount and bracket. As for linkage, use 94-01 Integra linkage from any model (RS,LS,GS,GSR) and get 94-01 Integra axles with intermediate shaft or 92-93 integra axles with the 92-93 intermediate shaft or 99-00 Civic SI axles with that intermediate shaft. Any other questions just ask. I've been there many times
