i need to know how to know that a cable for the clutch is adjusted correct. should the leaver ( thats on the tranny) be able to move at all? i'm affraid that my cable is to tight and that i'm going to wear the clutch out. thanks for any help.

you can't adjust it by looking at it. Adjust it a little bit and then drive and see what it feels like. I liked mine to engage about inch or two off the floor.

 

how much play should there be in the arm that is on the out side of the tranny. i would say that the clutch engages about 4in from the floor right now. can't u have the clutch engage all the time which will wear out the clutch? i'm afraid that the clutch is going to wear out b/c of the cable not be adjusted correctly.

 

adjust it till it feels right, there should be no play in the arm it should be taught from the tension of the cable

 

should a B16 tranny be the same.
