WHATS THIS NUT THING WITH WIRES???????
I was changing my tranny fluid today and I noticed that there was a small leak. I looked around and saw this nut thing with black rubber proctecting it and a bundle of wires following the nut. This thing is located on the right side of the tranny (if you take off your right tire, you'll see it). I dont know what it was but it was loose, so i tightened it. Can anyone tell me what this is?...here are the pics...the nut underneath the rubber is 19mm i believe..

it is indeed the reverse light and its leaking because its loose and its loose because some dumbass took it out at some point and didnt tighten it back.
Yup, as they have said, that is the harness for the reverse light. It has a little switch on it on the inside of the tranny that gets depressed when the slider bar hits it. That "flips" the switch and your reverse lights work.
It's leaking because it's loose, and fluid is leaking from the hole.
