can i fill the tranny from this hole?
can i fill the tranny from this hole? that is the vent hole on the top front of the ranny. 
the vss is too hard for me to get too, so is the regular fill hole because i dont have a long funnel.

Hmm I dont think so.
I think you have to after find the speed sensor around the back of your tranny and take that off, you then fill from THAT hole not the vent hole.
Correct me if I am wrong.

yeah i think you can fill it from the vent hole or the VSS but open the filler REAL filler hole and fill it till fluid come out of it and you'll be fine

yep, have done it before. Make sure you open the breather hole though, I didn't and it took like a half n hour to fill her up

I would not try that.
The vent hole is there to vent the tranny. If you try to fill through the vent tube then how will any air escape as you're pouring fluid in?
Do yourself a favor and just do the VSS trick or fill through the fill hole.
Also what type of tranny is it?
DOHC trannies take 2.3qts and SOHC trannies take 1.8qts.
