Crx troubles
I bought a 1989 crx dx that was already moded. Came with a b18 from a 94 integra ls, lowered, exhaust, header, rear disc brakes all the good stuff. But Im haveing a hell of a time trying to change the seized front 2 calipers. The title states the car is a 1988 crx dx, but when you run the vin through honda its a 89. Ive tried 88 dx calipers and 89dx calipers and still no go unless the people at the parts store are complete idiots.
Are 89 crx dx and si calipers the same? And the Hf calipers are the smaller ones? Also the alternator belt snapped on the car because the alternator belt was rubbing on the firewall. But I put a stock belt on the alternator and tighten it and its still loose.
Any suggestions to my problems would be much appreciated.

Dx hub spline count is not the same as your tranny spline count...tranny>CV's>hubs>bigger rotors. Not sure about your particular swap but I'd say your hubs were changed out, might have bigger rotors...10"
well we looked at integra ls calipers and those were the wrong bolt size so im stumped as to what it could be.
If i were to get this would this solve my problems or would it not work? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...%3A11

no, dx = si. you're thinking of HF.
take the caliper to the store and match it up.
whats the stampped # on it?

its got only a partial stamp on it, that and not all calipers get stamped for some reason that and my buddy who is helping me fix this car up works at wilde honda as a tech/part sales and has no idea what caliper it is.
Ill try and get a pic of the caliper up but I bought 2 spindles off of a 90 si so that should fix this problem.

you can do 2 things. get 1inch smaller belt (take the one you got to a parts store and ask for one thats smaller) or pound a dent into the shock tower(which is what most ppl including myself do)
