still idle up and down after.....
i have a gsr in my eg coupe and its idleing up and down between 1000 and 1500 rpm. i replaced and cleaned the iac and fast idle valves, check for vac leaks and there are not any because i have a boost gauge in the car (previous engine was boosted and this one will be soon) and it reads like -23 at idle. i have a chiped ecu in the car idk if that may have anything to do with it. what else could it be????? please help.
i put a brand new dist. on it when we did the swap. it started right when we did the swap. my friend had this engine in his car b4 mine and it did the same thing. also when we did the swap we removed the charcole canister thats on the fire wall. idk if that could have anything to do with it. my friends car didnt have that either.

I had the same issue. Make sure you check to see if your IACV is in working condition (test through ecu, listen for clicking noise, this is all on the helms manual)
I replaced mine after a good amount of troubleshooting, $140 later, my problem was solved.
Try to see if you can borrow a friends IACV and test. Good luck.

also there is always the idle screw, but make that your last resort and when you do use it make the modifications to it 1/8th of a turn at a time. then fine tune to the 1/16 of a turn. that thing can get annoying(or im just too ****)
does this happen when warming up and when at operating temperature? or both? if both is there a change in behavior?

hmmm it could be the tps. if you have the shop manual and a electrometer or whatever you should be able to tell if your getting the right reading. usually the tps can just be adjusted... what color are the wires going to the iacv?
