Default 97 VTEC in a 92 Prelude Help Wiring Harness

I recently purchased a 97 VTEC engine, Tranny, ECU, etc. I replaced it in my 92 prelude which I had already blown the engine. All the parts are in but the Wiring harness plugs for the 97 are different from the 92's. This is the only thing that is holding the complete product from conclusion. So now we are thing about making 1 harness out of the 2 by cutting and replacing the corresponding plugs. Please help

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's because A4s have knock sensors and A1s don't?
I heard you can make the A1s' OBD1 work with the knock sensor some how.

Excuse my lack of solid info but this is an area that I too could use some schooling in myself.

Really? I guess I was lied to. So why's this guy having probles? What would make
the wiring so different?

How is it tricky... Use the wireharness already in the car... get an obd1 ecu because ur not going to get and immobilizer unit to work with the obd2 ecu and would be pointless. I think it would be much easier. Run 2 wires from the ecu harness 22 pin and 26 pin connectors plugging into the ecu 1 for the vtec solenoid and the other to the vtec pressure switch and ground the other wire ( black) coming off the pressure switch. Everything else will work with the original harness and you can still use your obd1 dizzy. Just put the h22plug wires on the obd1 dizzy and presto h22 swap with minimal difficulty . Just my two cents but what do I know
