i got a RHD crx ef-8 throwing up a code 17, vss, its electronic, so i changed it with a working one of a buddies running car, checked the wiring pinouts, all wires hooked up.. now what? i got no vtec and running out of options, its got a stock pw0 b16 ecu, any suggestions.....?

 

have you reset your ecu? mine was doing the same thing...no speedo, no vtec. i just reset the ecu and everything was peachy

 

yeah, ive reset multiple times, just installed V-afc thinking this would control VTEC to come on, but to no success...im thinking maybe might need a new cluster or chipped ecu.., maybe?

did you try to see if your VSS cable snapped?

 

Its a JDM cluster, so its Electronic Vss..

 

check for continuity from the VSS to the cluster. sounds like wiring problems.

 

i tried out my buddies chipped ecu w/mugen program and the car hauls now.. so im thinking maybe its the cluster..?
