Fluidyne radiator or Oil cooler for roadracing?
I was just wanted some input,
During the summertime, the temp is over 100 out in the desert where the tracks are, and I'm sure either one would make my engine
, so let me know what you guys think: Fluidyne or radiator of Oil cooler?

BOTH!
Well, way back in the day (1997) Realtime Racing had a HUGE pictoral and write up of mods done on their cars...
They had problems keeping the car cool and added an Oil Cooler first, that didnt solve the problem for them and they eventually went to the Fluidyne Radiator...
Just FYI. That was when they first started running the R... now they are much, much more secretive..

I'm pretty sure both would do the ITR good! I wonder what would happen if you used both in some cold weather in say like Alaska. Temp. needle prolly wouldn't even move!
I got an oil cooler for sale if anyone wants it.. 260 shipped.
fluidyne core with earls braded lines and remote filter location.
ready to bolt on and go.

Go with the oil cooler first, something like a Setrab. I broke 2 TruCools before I got smart and got the Setrab from the NASCAR parts store in Charlotte. If they can last that abuse you can't beat them. Next make sure you funnel the air to the cooler. I dropped 20 degrees in oil temp and 10 degrees for water after I built 2 tunnels to the oil cooler and radiator out of some light gage aluminum. Now the only air that goes through my front end either goes to the brake ducts, oil cooler or radiator. I think I have some pictures of it so if you're interested just email me.

Yes, it does. This type of cooler was actually first introduced on a Honda Vehicle (to the best of my knowledge) on the 85 Honda CRX Si. It uses the engine coolant to cool the oil and it should help in bringing the oil temp up to an operating temp faster. But this system has it's limitations when you take the car on track for a 20 or 30 minute session. You should always use a synthetic oil for the track.
