Need Tuning help
Hello,
I have recently installed an AEM box on my car and I am in need of a tuner. The car is basically running alright, but I am having trouble with idle and all the other good stuff that goes along with having an AEM. I am in Central Alabama so if anyone knows of any certified tuners please tell me.
Thanks,
Trevor

Bump, come on someone has to know someone that can tune my box. Also this reminds me of another question. My new motor only has 300 miles on it and my turbo is already blowing oil. Does anyone have any suggustions as to what I need to use as a restrictor for the oil feed line. Now I am running #4 fittings and stuff on my feed line and there is a nitrous jet as a restrictor. that obviously does not work. Any Suggestions?
Come on, nobody knows anyone that can help me. Also I have came across another problem that I noticed on my way to school today. My rpm gauge is fluttering vary bad and I believe that it is causing some weird things to happen. Could this be an electrical problem? Is it something that should not be overlooked. Someone please help me.It sucks when your car gets worse as the days go on. it has only been running for less than a week now and some weird things have already started to happen. makes me just want to sell it. But someone please help me.
Thanks,
Trevor

k u are running on a base map that is why your car is running like **** first off, secondly call AEM directly to find someone who can tune it for you, if you were in cali i could send u to someone to do it, as for alabama i hvae no clue were for u to go, but i would stop driving your car around cause your car dosen't seem to like the basemap much. who did your turbo? and u didn't think about researching a shop to tune your car, before putting it on? engine management is as good as the guy who is tunning your car..

Yeah, I guess that is right. It doesn't matter how nice the **** that you use is it is how it is tuned. I guess that I will call AEM. I tried to visit their forums but that didn't work. The tuning cost isn't the problem it is finding someone to tune it.
Thanks for the help,
Trevor

Also, since you are following the thread. Do you think that my problem with the rpms surging is with the EMS or with something else. It is a weird problem. When I get around 3,000 or so my Tach starts going crazy. The engine still revs the same, but I can feel weird pedal response. Also my wideband goes crazy, so therefore, I believe that my car really thinks that the rpms are fluctuating and the injectors are responding. Weird problem huh?
Thanks Again,

I would check all the wiring connections you made leading to the ECU, especially the wires to your wideband. Maybe a short or an incorrect wire was tapped...then again, it could also be your programming. AEM EMS engine management is not exactly the easiest thing to program. I would also check some uberdata/crome sites to see if maybe you can find answers there.
