the o2 simulator will only tell the computer that the cat is working. if they put a sniffer in your pipe, you will fail.

an o2 simulator will do nothing for emissions. just put a high flow cat on. jackson racing did a dyno and proved that their highflow cat caused the car to loose 1 hp versus open header.

WA state emissions, 96 plus cars with obdII(is what i have) they do a gas cap check and plug-in to check the ECU for any check engine false, so will the o2 simulator work for this situation? $250 will cost me for labor for a stock converter!

it should work in that case.

just get a carsound/magnaflow high flow cat.

I got mine for about 140 shipped through hottexhaust.com

or you can get a jackson racing one for about 200

and if you install it yourself, labor is free. it can be done in less than an hour

if its obd1, don't even try an o2 sim, it'll be a waste of time and dangerous for the motor. They are designed for the secondary o2 on obd2 cars, and even then they don't always work. Get a cat for emissions.
