Default Would a 96-98 factory rear lip fit on a 99-00 coupe?

There's this guy selling a 96-98 factory rear lip and i was wondering if anybody knew if it would fit on a 99-00 coupe. Its made for a coupe but im not sure if the 96-98 rear bumpers are the same as the 99-00 rear bumpers. If not how much shorter or longer is it?

so just a few of the clips and it should fit on good? a friend of mine told me that the 96-98 rear bumpers are smaller than the 99-00 is that true? if it is than that means i would have to extend the lip by cutting it right?

you should pm scrapinsi, he had the 96-98 lip on a 99-00 bumper. as I recall he mentioned he had to trim the lip to make it fit.

99-00 have a "lip" on the bottom edge already. 96-98s dont have that.

I have seen the old lip on the newer bumper with some mods.

if you have the lip, place it on your bumper and you'll see where the contour lines do not sit flush

actually the 96-98 lip wont even come close to fitting the 99-00 rear bumper. the 96-98 bumper concaves in along the bottom whereas the 99-00 does not. you will need to add around 4-6 inches of abs plastic to makee it fit!

i have tried this as i have a 00 si and my little bro has a 96 coupe and i tried to get his to fit and i wasnt even close enough to where i would even try to modify it to fit

you can make anything fit with a little creativity. ScrapinSi made a 96-98 OEM rear lip fit on a 99-00 and it looked like it came that way from the factory.

BTW, I have a 96-98 OEM rear lip for sale
