Default What swap is better

Okay I'll ask you guys since I got no response from the hybrids, and no response hardly in the honda section.
I drive a 95 honda DX. (Lower version from EX). What swap will be better? Keep in mind I'm not sure if I will Turbo it or keep it all engine. The options are B16a2 dohc vtec 113 lbs of torque 160hp, or the 94-95 B18B 1.8ltr dohc non-vtec 127 lbs of torque and 142 hp. What would be my best bet. The B16a2 is 2,650 shipped and the 95 B18B is 2,000 shipped.
Thank you.

the B16a has all the VTEC goodies, and good n/a potential.

however the b18b has more torque, and a lot more turbo potential. They each have their strong and weak points.

Find out if you are going turbo or N/A first

Or buy a little bit of both and slap 'em together for torque and power!

B16A...it doesn't matter if you go F/I or N/A. It's a decent engine for both applications.

you have a DX...light weight...go with the b16a2...even though it doesn't have as much torque as the b18b...you have the higher end power with vtec and the 8200 redline....turbo or all motor...engine is decent....either way...you would be safe...but with the b18b allmotor is expensive...and a lot of work is required...

b16a2 has much more potential no matter which route you go.

Default Thanks!

Thanks for all the advice. It looks like B16a2 is a pretty popular choice. Just a few more hundred dollars and the B16a will be mine . I am probably going to order from http://www.jdmhondaparts.com they the USDM version of the B16a2 for 2,350. Does anybody know of anywhere else w/ competitive prices and a good reputation?
