I'm contemplating my turbo project again, and I would like to ask everyone who HAS turbo'd their F22 a couple of questions. Basically, the engine will have ATLEAST forged internals.

1) we all know that a turbo'd application needs to be tuned and kept properly maintained, but besides that, how reliable was your setup?

2) of course gas mileage will suffer, and many factors play a role, but what did you all get per tank (average).

and yes, I searched, but found nothing to helpful...

i dunno accurate gas miliage, I never really cared. I would estimate 18-20 off boost highway. (I also had prelude M2S4 transmission, with shorter gears)

im running a custom T25 setup w/ 450 cc blue top injectors and walbro fuel pump tuned w/ uberdata...i get kinda crappy gas mileage i used to get about 410 miles out of a tank of gas..now i get about 250...but i also run in open loop all the time (off the tables in the ecu rather than off the 02 sensor)

i have been boosted for 10k miles..drives great and runs like a champ. i have a boost leak right now im trying to pinpoint...the car will make 8psi then starting dying back all the way to 0. im gonna check the gasket on my BOV tomorrow.

 

thanks for the reply. you're not too far away from me either. good ole barrett pkwy. i'm sure you've been more than once? i want to play with uberdata, but i'll probably fork out the cash to get it tuned with hondata. 250 isn't that bad, but i'm going to try an aim for more.

been running for nearly a year and a half now with no turbo related problems...been using about 20% more fuel than before but i've leaned it out further so i'll see what its using now. Oh thats always running open loop as well.

 

I'm running a full custom setup with stock internals... pics can be seen in the cardomain link in my sig.... I get around 20mpg in a full tank that is with 1/4 gas for boost and the rest for normal driving
