i have a delemma......need opinions
ok i bought my rex three years ago and its in pretty fair shape considering i bought it for $500 dollars and love every moment in it rust has formed over one of the rear quarters. now heres the dilemma i really want to do the jdm front end coverion and thats it i'm not into body kits and you cant find them anymore now i have found a mint hb for $900 it has a blown h.g. now what do i do buy the hb(since there are apparently jdm conv. aplenty for them) and transfer most of my parts from the rex. or stick to the rex? this is a very tough call so i need your help

stick with the rex = I love rex's ; they're sexy as hell. I currently own an std hatch only becasue i couldnt find a rex for $500.00 to a grand in my area. trust me, I'm really uncomfortable with the back seats up / out the corner of my eyes, I feel like that car wasn’t built for a back seat. I like the std hatch, but love the rex!
id choose both if i could but im afraid id have to vote for the crx... cut the rust out and i might be wrong but im pretty sure that you can make a civic front end fit a crx... i have a crx front end conversion on my hatch

I dont think these people are reading about the rust. Id say go with the hatch if there isnt any rust. Unless you can do bodywork. Im assuming you are on a budget and your crx is your only car. If you cant fix the rust youself then your gonna hve to leave it somewhere for prolly a week at least and have no car. Remember the rust you see is probably only about 1/2 of whats really there. Besides you cant haul bitches around in a 2 seater very well.
1. Your CRX=rusty crusty fun
She might be a blast to drive and a great deal to keep running, but the rust is a death sentence unless you have several thousands of dollars to ressurect her.
2. Prospective Hatch=clean with heart problems
A good body with clean lines and NO rust, but the engine has issues. As long as the body is clean, swap the motor and be done with it.
Get the hatch, do the minimal repairs and have a clean AND fun ride. That is the less expensive and more reasonable answer compared to rust patrol and that nice front end swap you want, IMO.

There is a reason for that..........................rex 100%

I feel the same about my hatch. I would love to give her the attention she deserves but fundage is an issue. If you suffer from a similar problem, go Hatch and do the swap yourself, and keep your CRX as a rainy day project.
i had a similar problem, i chose the challenge instaed of the easy way out. i took the responsiblility of taking care of my car and getting the rust out. i had it worse. i had cancer in the engine bay!!!! beat that. she was a toughy! but now a couple months later shes all back to normal and grew a set of *****. all motor jdm. keep the rex... you'll learn to apreaciate her more when you made it through!...
