NSX Conv....NOT T-Top (pics)
I've always love the NSX, and I surf in this forum every once in a while drooling all over the monitor. Then today, i was looking through dupontregistry.com and I found this 1994 Acura NSX Conv.

It's also impossible to create anywhere near the amount of rigidity that the NSX-T has. For the NSX-T, they increased the thickness of the metal in the side rails and other parts. Any aftermarket convertible conversion is almost guaranteed to have lots more flex and cowl shake and rattling than any NSX-T from the factory.
Also, I've seen one in person and the quality was horrendous.

..Mr. "Chengster",
I personally think[ read: subjective, as in opinion] that converting a coupe NSX to a convertible NSX is akin to butchery, is simply b/c the car's utter brilliance in constrcution, materials, and chassis design [good place to interject that Ayrton Senna, helped iron out and do final tuning of the chassis], is almost completely ruined by HACKING off an integral part of the chassis, namely the ROOF!
You may be aware, although you might not, of the fact that to release the NSX-T, Honda engineers added close to 70 lbs of reinforcing material over the coupe's weight to maintain rigidity of the chassis, and that was only to design a chassis that retained all other supports, less a removable top. Which is a far cry from taking a coupe, and tearing off everything north of the fenders!
So, in my opinion, to defile an NSX by converta-hacking it into a convertible is w/out ground, and defeats the entire joy of owning an NSX, namely driving it, not looking at it!
But, this all may be lost upon you, and in all honesty I couldn't care less about you transgressions, b/c after all, if anyone gets this worked up over some internet disression, they truly need better things to do!
