i have a D16Z6 motor and tranny that is going to be disassembled and hot tanked soon.... then i am going to buy OEM Honda bearings and PM7 pistons and maybe mill the head a little with a good head gasket for high compression... with this and a Skunk 2 intake manifold with an ANR Header will this make power?
keep in mind itll be going into a completely gutted CRX HF!

 

yah it will make power if you tune it, and do some quality headwork with a camshaft. dont see any reason you could get into the 13's with the right combo of parts. keep in mind that if you want it to run on pump gas you might not want your comp too high. check out http://www.d-series.org, plenty of good info over there, and a lot of the guys running simular setups to what you just listed.

 

11.5:1 or 12:1 compression should run just fine with chrome or even handata S200... 93 octane should be sufficient enough when tuned..... -justin-

 

I'll be putting together a similar build here in the near future but I'm very seriously considering running ITB's with the setup instead of a manifold. I'm thinking I can pull a bit more torque out of the motor between 4500 and 6500.
