I was driving yesterday and missed second gear I got home and tried to pop it into reverse but it would not go in kinda like something is blocking it from going in. I am hoping it's an easy fix because I have a 97 prelude which has been out of commish for 5 months because of the same problem. If anyone has experienced this problem and knows a fix please let me know asap I live in so cal so if anyone knows where I can get a cheap SI tranny let me know

try moving forward in 1st gear a ft or 2 then try reverse while its rolling a little.

 

just went through the same problem i just bought a tranny..

 

I tried everything I could i.e. switching through different gears with the car on and off I tried to force it in but no luck

 

i would buy another tranny same thing here.. feels like something is blocking the shift linkage..

 

pretty much every honda i had did that i always just start the car and go into 1st go forward a lil then put it in reverse while its rolling still, always worked for me.

 

I tried that first reverse trick but still no luck looks like it's time for a new tranny this sucks

 

anybody know wehre I can get a cheap used si tranny in SO Cal
