700+HP B-Series.....What fuel system?
My setup will put between 650-700hp to the wheels with tuning, what do you guys suggest for the fuel system (pump, regulator, fuel rail, etc)
Thanks.
Thanks.
We run the Fast-Turbo fuel system which uses a really nice bosch pump on Matt Vanwie's car.. we have made over 700 and almost 600 tq
AFC hack lol get some 2400cc and lean em out
hahaahaha jk
why not
pump your going to need a major inline
fuel rail they are all good, GE, Benen, AEM

not trying to sound like a smart *** but how are you going to build a 600+hp car and not know what fuel set up you should be running?
everything else is finished, but I need to upgrade the fuel system, and I have heard many different opinions...from Aeromotive to Weldon to Bosch. So if you don't have anything to truly contribute to this, please don'e waste yours and my time.
Thanks
I have 1000cc Injectors and Joe at Tempest Racing will be tuning it.
I know the type of setup I need, all I want it input on the different brands and options in brands that are out there.
Thanks

The injectors can be upgraded, all I want is opinions on brands of fuel system components.
I just want to have the fuel system installed so that when I go bigger turbo and bigger injectors, I have one less thing to worry about.

Ive run into the same problem recently trying to figure what fuel system to run. Im looking for 700+ and after speaking with quite a few individuals decided to run the Boshe pump, -10 feed from Stan (Flamenco-T)
1200cc inj, sx fuel pump, -10 lines, sx regulator, airomotive fuel filter, making 650 on that. switching the injectors to 1600 to make around 750.

Are we talking -10 from a sumped tank, or -10 line from a modified stock style pickup? My walbro 255 HP just ain't cuttin it anymore either.

-10 from a modified stock pick up. From what Stan said you use a mustang sock and weld on a tube and on the top of the plate you have a -10 fitting welded as well. Hope this is clear

Coming from a guy who's worked on Mustangs for a long time, that makes a lot of sense
Thanks.

OUCH! Not to be a dick dude but if you care at all about this build you will stay away from TEMPEST! And like I said, you need 1600cc injectors to be safe. I like the Weldon pump myself

The old Tempest supposedly "tuned" my buddies car about a year and a half ago. They installed his turbo kit and he was running a 12:1 FMU and just a plain jane afc hooked up the standard way. They turned the fuel % way down to get the best power on the dyno. They claimed it was the most power they ever got out of a stock LS on 9psi. He brought it back home and I hooked up my wideband right away to see how good this tune really was. 13.5:1 all the way up to 7.5k rpm on 9psi.
That motor would have been toast in a few weeks. I turned up the fuel % a bit and she ran so much smother. A bit more smoke but 12.5:1 all the way up.
On top of all this they charged him 1600 for a drag kit install and some shitty tuning.
This is only one of 4 bad stories I know of from my local friends over the last 4 years.
I could care less if you believe me or not, im just trying to help.

aeromotive...drooool......

Although I have talked to a few shop owners who bash the Aeromotive pump, we have had no trouble with it. This is a customer's car that we built the fuel system and sumped the tank about 1 1/2 years ago and the pump has worked flawlessly.... even on long drives.
Setup is as follows:
-8 Feed from sumped stock tank using a custom sump we made to an aeromotive filter, then to the A1000, then to another aeromotive filter, and then -8 the rest of the way to the fuel rail.
-6 return line all the way back to the tank w/ modified return fitting and hose in the top of the tank.
If you sump the stock tank make sure to leave baffles for consistent fuel delivery to the pump under acceleration/cornering/braking... good luck
