Default si tranny d series

well have the new tranny in welded diff.. runs good but today for some odd reason didnt want to go into 3rd 4th 5th didnt try reverse wanted to get it home.. so im driving about 30 miles in 2nd gear and when i shut the car off.. i was trying to get it into those above gears and it did.. easily.. when i cracked the case to weld the diff. the tranny looked brand new ran great (no grinds felt like a new tranny) but now this is happening im going to pull the tranny out and see what the hell is going on.. and when i was trying to put it in them gears it felt like them gears wont even there no sound no clicking nothing any suggestions on what the hell is going on..
and i wasnt pushing in the clutch it would make a sound like something was scraping inside the tranny.. i have a act four puck and act prolite flywheel..

perhaps the diff you welded broke. or perhaps throwout bearing is going.

Does it shift when car is shut off?

I had the same problem. however I ended up doing a swap so I never did figure out the problem.
