how do i put a dohc zc in to a si ef(90)

Default how do i put a dohc zc in to a si ef(90)

i blew my 90 si motor (it had 364,000 km on it) and so now i am buying another 90 civic dx. the dx is auto but has a dohc zc in it. Now i need help finding out how hard it is to install the zc in my si. i know i can use my tranny but for the install what wil i need to do

Its bolts right in..
But you have to take 2 wires from the distributer harness and move them to the exhaust cam position sensor..

which two wires an what or where is the exaust sensor

The blue/green and the blue/yellow wires at the dizzy need to be connected to the cylinder position sensor on the exhaust cam..Right next to the dizzy..

otherwise i just plug and play right
any quick mods i can do like throttle body or exhaust( what headers can i use)
and how good of a motor is it

pretty good motor. u can use the same header as you would any other d series motor. if u can find a b16 tb before you drop it in and able to bore out the intake manifold for the b16tb then go for it.

A kamikaze header will bolt on w/out any porting.

not true - we have a Kamikaze on our ZC and it did need to be port matched

You're the first person I've heard of who had to port theirs. Mine works fine w/out porting.

if the header is for the d16 then YES... it has to be ported to the zc gasket for it to work right... it WILL still bolt up no problem... its not the flange bolt hole that are different... its the actual runners that are different

dont they sell headers just for zc and so now i should get kamakazie headers for a d 16
