94+ Integras: does the LS, the GS and GS-R really all get the same MPG?
from what i've read from a few websites (one being http://www.fueleconomy.gov), the integra LS and the GS-R both get 25 city 31 hwy mileage. is this really true??
its about the same on all of them jus depends on how u drive it like the manual tells u to..if u hit vtec u will burn more gas but on daily driving its jus the same except the 4dr cuz mines burns a lil more gas cuz of the weight but not much of a difference
just weird how every trim level civic gets different mileage, but all integras are the same. how much hp does the LS have?
the gsr at ls should get around the same gas mileage.. the gas mileage is probably calculated when the gsr is not in vtec meaning it is using it's lower cam profile lobes versus the normal LS lobes

I would kill for 25/31 in my 00 gsr. Stock, it only got around 19 - 22 city, and maybe 28 highway, but I never burned an entire tank of gas doing highway, so I'm not sure there. Currently, I get anywhere from 17 - 20 city, but I'm sure the Azenis are to blame (more grip, more rolling resistance).
I tried driving as the owners manual suggested, shifting at 3200 rpm, but the mileage was worse. Keeping it between 3k and 4k for cruising city, and shifting around 5k seems to give me the best mileage. Maybe its time for a VAFC and tuning as a mileage booster.

or maybe you just need a major tune up
me, i drive a 95 gsr and i get 18-19 consistently, that is until i changed my thermostat cuz it was always near C, now my needle is at half tank and i got 150miles on it. so hopefully when im done ill get like 21-22 mpg

nO THE gsr gears are shorter so it uses more gas running the engine at a higher rpm.
ls tranny = gOOD mILEAGE

Car has 48k miles. Valves adjusted @ 45k mark. AEM CAI with fresh filter, otherwise stock engine. Oil changed @ 45k with Mobil1 full synth. Spark plugs all show proper combustion. Water temp warms up normally, stays at half way point once warm. Chevron 91 octane gas only. I don't see how it could need a major tune up yet, but I've certainly been wrong before. Ah well, the difference between 18 and 20 mpg isn't exactly very significant.
On the flip side, my Spitfire gets 35 city, 55 highway. But thats probably due to its absurdly light weight.

my LS was rated at 142hp but i dont have that motor since i blew it and now i got a jdm h22 motor which i get like only 20or less mpg
I get around 25-27 mpg in my GSR, even given the way I drive.
