Out of all the hatch models available from 92-95, I have the Si model. It's the heaviest of the group. Stock the car was rated to be 2326 lbs. curb weight. Well I almost have gutted it all for the exception of the heater unit behind the dash; and I havent started slicing and dicing the frame. I kinda want to but not sure.

So out of curiousity, what all have you guys gutted and how much does it weigh?

 

Two hatchbacks ago weighed in at 1870 with a bunch of excess **** it didn't need. Current hatchback weighs somewhere in the 1400 range but also doesn't presently have a motor installed.

 

Im just trying to get an idea on how light I can take my hatch. What all did you remove to get it down in the 1800 lb range. Im just trying to get it as close to 2000 as possible.
