CTR intake cam installed with stock exaust cam. The head internals are stock. Do i need to up the compression at all? or leave as is.

Same question applies to CTR pistons.

 

Nothing has to be upgraded for use of an oem cam. U can raise the compression to squeeze out some more power, and u can upgrade valve train components to increase you're red line. You do not have to do anything except drop the intake cam in, and it will be fine. What u might want to do if u have i/h/e is get a quick tune....

 

dont you need springs to run ctr intake cam?? or can you run stock springs and retainer with a ctr cam?

 

if you dont rev past stock redline then you can run stock springs and retainers.
