that's a backfire. unburnt fuel in the exhaust gets ignited. nothing to be worried about.

um it probably means hes running quite rich... is it turbo with BOV venting to atmo? that would be expected, but NA, your injectors should be shut off when the TB closes in a shift, which shouldnt be dumping fuel into the exhaust to be ignited. Nothing that serious, just find out why its running rich... could be O2 censor, TPS, or something like that.

It is NA, it's a 98 Jdm b18b with just the primary O2 sensor!!! I just got a fuel purge done!! Has for the Tps sensor, I'm not trhrowing a code but my car will jerk while slowing down under 1500rmps and fluctuate a bit at idle???
