Default Budgeted System

I am putting a system in my car and I am on a budget, i found some subs, amp, and amp install kit, and just wanted some opinions on it.

SUBS: Lanzar MAX12 2-12" 1000W peak output. $70 x 2 = $140

AMP: Lanzar VIBE268 2 channel 2000W Max, RMS 800x2 @ 2 ohms = $225

AMP INSTALL KIT: 40$ dunno brand name on it.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TOTAL = $405

I already have a box for the subs so no worries there.

Also should i get some dynamat for the inside and/or for the licence plate?

Any opinions on this setup are greatly appreciated and any opinions on Lanzar because I haven't heard too much about them.

Its sounds cool but i dont know about lanzars

for less then that you can get an alpine system that sounds alot better:
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-e...AM349
(349)
and some wiring kit
(40)
plus tax(if you get taxed)
~(20)~~

So around 410-430 you can get a great sounding kit. Also you can get a amp wiring kit for like 20-30 dollars from autozone, pepboys or walmart!

i think your setup is fine...except i'd do without the lanzar...they're midranges sound find but for the price you're paying for those subs, you could get something better...and dont pay attention to the peak/MAX power...look at its RMS power ( continuous )

Ok big change, things didn't work out with what i was going with, so i actually have in my car right now, a 1700W kenwood mono amp, 850 RMS @ 2 ohms and thats what i have it wired for in parallel, and 2 800W MAX subs also by kenwood, sounds good, but i am getting it tuned tomorrow so it sounds its best.

10s or 12s? If they are 10s set the LPF At like 100Hz, if 12s, set it around 80Hz. Turn your gain 3/4 the way up, or 4/5 and set the bass gain to like 12db, assuming you have an aftermarket head unit. I tuned one of these amps today with similar subs.
