does the testpipe replace the resonator? thx and what about teh catalaty converter? does it replace that too

It replaces the cat.

A test pipe is a small section of piping that replaces the cat. It was originally designed to test if a cat was clogged. Then became something that was and still is widely used in the aftermarket world.
