This is how it's going to roll.
A) Your going to spend 3.5-4.5k on a GOOD GSR swap.
B)Rebuild your LS and boost using that same amount and getting more power then your GSR would.
C)LS/VTEC - Cheapest route to go and more power then LS but alittle less then GSR.
D)Finding a new LS for 1200 on HMO or finding one for sale on HT.
Take your choice.

That all depends on how you do it. If you do make it the cheapest route, its also going to be the most unreliable route.. Ls/Vtec is a fickle swap, if not done right and built by someone who knows what there doing, and finely tuned, it wont be as reliable as it can be.. If you do it right, you can make much more power then a GSR..
my ls/vtec is putting down 186whp, 141trq I can rev it to 8200 all day without worrying about a thing.

Then that would explain the numbers. A simple LS/VTEC won't make that much power without the internals you have. Basically you were saying that if you BUILD the motor while doing the swap (along with the work being performed right) you can make more power than a GSR.

Yes, in a sense, but in my personal opinion, in order to build an ls/vtec correctly, you have to raise the compression, which is making it a built motor.
