well this just happened today out of the blue
i went to start my bike and the guages lite up like normal then started to flicker then they went out. so i figured it was a dead bettery cuz i had left the lights on for a little while. so i then try to jump it and still no power. i hook the cables up to the bikes battery and touch the cables together and get a strong spark. so i figure i have a nicely charged battery. the battery should atleast let the guages light up even if it they light up dim. but im not geting any power in the ON position. what could be the problem? i checked all the fuses and every thing seems fine. so fruatrating. i dont know much about bikes so please help me out! thanks!
btw i dont have a multimeter

stupid blue bike. Do the headlights or anything work? Nothing? Get me a wiring diagram, start the bike and see what happens. Just give the relay power. Bypass the wires heading up to the clutch lever/tranny, and just hooke something to the poisitive battery side and the positive starter relay side. see if it starts./ If it starts you got a good battery, and the problem is a shorted or an open wire. Probably an oipen cause you dont have poped fuses. But seems to me it should be a short, cause you left it ungaraged and uncovered. (moisture) remember the wire i striped after i droped it? We never really properly resealed it.

stupid blue bike. QUOTE]
no kidding.
its not that the bike wont start, just that the bike has no power. the headlights do not go on. only when i lock the handle bars and turn the key that one extra notch, then the tail lights go on and the light right above the headlight. so i know i have power but for some reason when i turn the key its not registering
on a lighter note i went to santiago canyon this weekend, damm what a blast.
santiago canyone is mellow. Head up to Cooks Corner, and then take that other canyone, forgot what its called. Its like a 2 lane canyone with trees hanging over the top. crzy.
