Bosch HID Kit
Has any use Bosch HID kit?? I'm using it right now, but the light seems not so white, it's like a bit of yellow white.but when i first turn on the colour was blue then change to blue-white...yellow white, how can i keep the first colour(blue-white), Also, if i use the Bosch kit, is it possible to change to other light bulb, i mean other brand...like piaa or something.
that sounds exactly like my parent's X5. ill start it up in the driveway, turn on the lights, and there will be some nice blueish purpleish whiteish beams laying right on the garage door. give it time to warm up, and they turn yellow. pretty gay if you ask me!

Now i know why they are yellow, coz my HID only goes up to 4100k, i think the more k the more whiter u get.
If you know anything about digital photography, you'd know what white balance is about. I am a photographer so this is how i learned about color temperature. heres the basic run down of color temperatures, and there respective light sources:
1500 k Candlelight
2680 k 40 W incandescent lamp
3000 k 200 W incandescent lamp
3200 k Sunrise/sunset
3400 k Tungsten lamp
3400 k 1 hour from dusk/dawn
5000-4500 k Xenon lamp/light arc
5500 k Sunny daylight around noon
5500-5600 k Electronic photo flash
6500-7500 k Overcast sky
9000-12000 k Blue sky
so as you can see, anyone who tells you that the higer Kelvin rating the light has, the whiter it is, is telling you a lie, the higher you go, the bluer the light.
Hope this helps you, any other questions, feel free to ask me, Evanrichardson@hotmail.com
