can i install a 6 1/2 in speakers insteadof the 5 1/4 in my 92 hatch n how do i do it is there any pics i can c

 

I've got some Pioneer 6.5's in my doors on my hatch. You just have to make sure they're not too deep (clear the windows). It's pretty easy if you look at it. Just take the grill off with a flat head screw driver (be gentle), and you should be able to figure it out from there. If I could do it on my own, I guarentee anyone can.
Not sure about the back ones though (I don't have them, or a place to put them).

 

crutchfield has a thing on their website that lets you see what fits in your car. They will make a notation if it requires modification to fit

 

I have 6 and 1/2's in my 94 lx coupe. I'm not quite sure if the stock speakers were 6.5" or not, but the new ones don't _quite_ fit right, but they fit nonetheless. It's very, very ghetto looking though. Oh well. The price of good sound.

 

they'll fit but u gotta cut out the back of the plastic housing in the door and u might have to make new screw holes on it aswell, personally i dont notice a difference between 5 1/4 and 6 1/2 anyway

 

Maybe he is talking about the back speakers. Is there any way to fit 6.5's in the back?
