There is a d16z6 at a local salvage yard for $645 and they will let me have whatever I need for it. I would also consider the d15b vtec engine for my CRX, which is probably about the same price but have to pay shipping, although it will have lower miles. Those are my two biggest considerations, although someone local my have a DOHC ZC for sale for about $300 but I'm not not sure if it's going to have all the extra parts like Alt., wiring, Dist, etc.

 

well, the junk yard engines...you don't know how the previous owner treated it and you dont know if it was well maintained, in my opinion i'd go for the d15b since it has low miles.

 

look around some more. There are better deals then what the junkyards have to offer on engines
