Default B16 Quaife Tranny or ITR tranny w/ a Qauife ?

Hey guys i have a question :

I need to figure out what the best tranny combo is for my setup ...

I will be reving the car from 9-9500.....

Its a Turbo GSR motor thats gonna put down somewhere north of 550whp

Having that said, i currently have a b16 in my car right now and its done great at 450 whp ......

I have an ITR tranny w/ oem lsd ofcourse but 3rd gear is gone...

Should I put a quaife in the ITR tranny & fix it or should i just get a quaife for my b16 tranny ?

both tranny's are very comparable to one another. if you like the b16 i would just throw a quaife in it and call it a day

JDM 98 ITR Tranny / S80
1st. 3.230
2nd. 2.105
3rd. 1.458
4th. 1.034
5th. 0.787
Reverse 3.000
Final Drive 4.785

USDM ITR + JDM ITR '96 Spec + JDM CTR '98 Spec
Y21/S80

1st. 3.230
2nd. 2.105
3rd. 1.458
4th. 1.107
5th. 0.848
Reverse 3.000
Final Drive 4.400

Noted differences are marked in BOLD

i tried to find the exact same for the b16 trnny's but could not remember the thread that had everything in it

USDM ITR and USDM B16 transmissions share the exact same gearing. They would be the exact same thing save for the stampings on the transmission when you have a quaife in both. Since putting a quaife in your B16 would be a lot cheaper than putting a quaife in an ITR trans and fixing the ITR trans, put a quaife in the B16, fix the ITR, and sell it.
