real quik question here that ive been thinking about for a while now and if it works i want to try it out...i have an ek hatch 1.6 non vtec but im really not a vtec person especially with my future boosting plans...but is there any way i can install the ex vtec head on my non vtec 1.6 block and just take out the vtec solinoid?... so that basically i have an all motor 16valve instead of valve...by the way my boy had an ex without vtec and it ran ok...thanx

Non vtec head y7 is also 16 valve. And turbo's love vtec, dont know where you heard otherwise.

 

im not a vtec kind of guy ...what motor does that head come on?

WTH does that mean? The non-vtec 96-00 DX is y7, y5 is the 96-00 cx's (also non-vtec)

why would u not be a v-tec kind of guy. you get better airflow, better tunability, and the turbo factor would only be helped by it.
