Is there anywhere to look up a tranny serial number to find out what D-series it originally belonged

Just wondering. I tried the search but it is temporarily down.

The tranny serial, not the car's VIN #... is there a look-up for this

In that case you can call american honda and try talking to them, c if they can trace the ser.# to it's origin.
