Not motorcycle based, but racers will love it..
The Gravity Series: this last saturday(9-17-05) in Irivine) was a blast... arrived in Irvine @ roughly 6:20am to watch the unloading, tech, and races of the gravity series. A unique series based on spec and prototype racing for gravity driven machines with a weight limit of 320 lbs for the prototype class. I was invited by my good friend and his brother... a friend of barry mcguire car guywho was shooting a show out there for his TV show.
A few of the many many pictures I shot.

Great pics!
Chris & I just kicked with Johnny O. who is in charge of the whole thing. Actually had to help wheel in Barry Maguire's car. Their garage is supposed to be on a show called, "Car Crazy," sometime soon though I never seen or heard of it. Johnny is a trip man, what a cool guy. He has pizzas flown in from Seattle for his engineering meetings!
So who won?

You know I do not know for sure who won, we left after the first run of the prototypes. We need a bigger hill :-P

i also like the aria/volvo design. i have been to the aria facility and they do some awesome prototype/concept vehicle work.
it has been mentioned to me that some of the private entries on only a few tenths of a second off of the factory guys.
for the little guys
the yellow racer sure looks a lot like the meguiars car........ also built by Southwestern???

The yellow/Gold car is the spec class Grav Racer... The Lamborghini car. things are pretty tight in this class, speeds for the spec cars were about 44-45 mph ... the Prototypes ran about 55+mph

I beleive this is the pinifarina designer that is responsible for the spec cars... About a $16k buy in required
cool now i am grasping the concept better.
the spec class is ~$16k
the corp. class is ~$30k
and then there is also soap box derby racers too???
meguiars has the pininfarina designed version, same as the lambo.
i do like how they are making this all tax deductible because the guy putting on this whole thing is giving "internships to foster kids". not a bad racket

Yes... derby racers to... the hand painted derby racer in the pics above.
Yeah whole thing is for tax purposes (whos taxes? I do not know
) but the foster kids are a huge part of the whole scene
