Car wont start....Need advise on what to look into...
I need advise from PEOPLE WHO HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM...NO ONE ELSE!!!

Ok, Car will not start by key; I can push start the car. When I turn the key to the start position, nothing happens...no sound (clicking or anything). The only thing that happens is that the radio turns off and comes back on...Only modifications to the vehicle that might affect this is an MSD amp. But the car has run fine for more then a year with that installed. Like I said, I can push start the car and it runs fine.
Battery is fine
Starter is new (just replace because i thought that was the problem)
Main relay is fine...
How often does an ignition switch burnout?
What about the harness?
Anyone have any ideas? Im tired of push starting my car...

is it turning over when you turn the key (trying to crank)? if not then it might be the starter. Did you change the battery to actually see if it is not the battery or at least see the voltage of the battery. You might think it has power but it just might not have enough to crank over. tyr the positive lead to the starter and see if it will start. Other then that all I can think of is that it's the ignition itself not the switch. Are there any mods on the car such as msd or any other aftermarket ignition system or did you have it in the past.
Thanks for the replies...I edited the post to be a little more specific.
Again...
Battery has been tested (Its almost new, it better be good)
Main has been tested
Starter is new

Have you pulled the steering column cover and inspected the ignition cylinder? I have had the little 'trigger' in the white cap break off (dont ask me how) causing the cylinder not to engage the starter.
Im sorry if thats a horrible explanation on what it could be, ill snap a pic in the moring of what im thinking of. That way you can determine if it is the ignition cylinder itself, or something downstream.

I don't think he's refering to the Switch itself...I believe he's refering to a little white connection on top of the cylinder...

Did you clean your battery wires? Positive and negative? Right where you put the wires onto the positive and neg terminals, the wires are know to rust and lose there strength. Clean them up real good, or even wiggle them around while someone tries to start the car. If else is in working or new condition, thats my best guess. Reason why is cuz it happened to me a month ago!! hahaha, and I bought a new starter thinking it was that, and when it still didnt want to start, bought it to a mechanic, and first thing he said was clean the wire where pos and neg meet up at the terminals, and sure enough... And I got rid of a perfectly good Denso starter....

Good thinking, but all wires and connections are free from grime...and I also probably just got rid of a perfectly good Denso starter.

Was the first thing that I checked.
Keep the ideas coming...

Try it when you get the chance, I wanna know if it works. And my wires didnt look dirty at all, the connection was just not strong enough, first time I didnt even clean them, I just wiggled them while someone cranked my car, and vuala!! Well, good luck.

Actually, wires and connections are about a year old. Still like new actually, Im pretty sure its in the ignition switch or the harness for the switch...Thanks for the input.

what you should check for is all the grounds going to d motor, because if your getting signal from the ignition switch and batt, check your grounds. what you cand do is make sure the started is bolted all the way in to ground it out and try crancking it. another thing that you can do is take a ground wire from the batt to anywhere in the trainy, that will ground out the engine.

yeah my car was broken into twice both times they fucked up my ignition switch and i had to get new ones so im pretty unfortunatly expierienced in replacing ignition switches. i didnt even realize how easy it was to steal a honda since then i put a spot weld on each of the phillips screws so it can be turned with a screwdriver
