Default Climate Control Bulbs...

Anyone know what type of bulb is the backlight for the climate control in a 96 civic hatch? On the 92-95, there are 2 x 74's, just wondering if it's the same for this gen. Thanks

I called the Honda Dealer here and they couldn't give me the generic bulb number, but gave me this Honda part number...

79629SR3003 and there are 2 of these bulbs

I don't know which generic bulb that is, but since there are 2 of them, I'm leaning towards the idea that they are the same as the 92-95 civics (2 x 74). I don't know this for sure though.

P.S. SlowHX, are you from Ontario?

I remember reading a post that said the bulbs in the gauge cluster are the same ones in the climate control.

Yea, 96CXhatch, I do live in Ontario

Hmmm, in the gauge cluster, there are 2 194's and 2 74's. I'm pretty sure the climate would be 2 74's then.

I ask if you're from ontario b/c I'm putting together an order with a couple people for led bulbs from http://www.superbrightleds.com. If you wanted to buy some for your cluster or climate control, I could add them to my order and then mail them to you when they get here. That site won't ship an order to Canada unless it is at least $25USD. We're at $13USD right now. Let me know if you're interested.

Wow, the Honda dealer was so ****. He kept asking me where I was going to take these part numbers and why I needed to change my bulbs :s. Finally I just said, "you have no idea whether these things are 194's or 74's?" and he replies, "I know they aren't 194's." "Well, are they smaller than 194's?" "Yes."

With that, I'm assuming they must be 74's.
