Help on swapping obd1 engine into obd2a chassis EK
hey guys, i have a obd1 gsr complete and i was wondering what do i need to do in order to make it run in my 97 ek cx model?
i know this is a noobie question and that most people do obd2 to obd1 and i happen to be trying to do it the other way around and i am confused on some parts like the wiring harness. i would appreciate it, if i can get some information in order to complete my swaps and thanks in advance.... Detail information would be nice

Smack the guy who told you this.
The EK engine harnesses run through the firewall and plug in directly to the ECU. The EG/DC engine harnesses plug into the chassis harness while still in the engine bay. To get it to work with anything resembling simplicity, you'll need to use an OBD-2 harness of some kind.

If you can locate the 96-01 engine harness then simply plug it into the engine and drop the engine in. Even though the harness is technically "OBD2" trust me it is a direct plug in for the 1992-1995 Civic on the underhood strut tower harnesses.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Would this be vice versa which allow you to use the obd1 engine harness with obd2a chassis (underdash harness to the ecu) with an ecu jumping harness?
