Default oil sucked into intake manifold from pcv line?

oil is getting sucked from the crankcase into the breather box through the pcv line and into the intake manifold. burning mad amounts of oil. for now i just disconnected it from the intake manifold. what the hell is going on? thanks.

It is possible.

I think you have to change the pcv first, probaly it is gone.

I could also use an oil catch tank between the line coming out from the pcv and the intake manifold port.

The real problem is the reason why you have to much pressure in the crankcase. This is not good because it could depend from a pistons rings leak. I think it is better for you to check the compression.

Another frequent way to burning oil is from the the head (valve guide)

piston rings should be good. the valve guides and all the seals as well. the whole engine is new, 850 miles. compression is consistently 230psi. even with the pcv disconnected it still burns a small amount of oil. the pcv valve is good though. any reasons why there is so much pressure in the crankcase?

If its a fresh built motor it should burn a little oil cause the rings are still seating in. Change out the pcv valve and see waht happens from there. Get one from honda dont **** with that kragen ****.

yeah but i thought the rings would be seated by now? i think my valve is still good though, it still clicks when shaken. i do have a new autozone one laying around. the honda ones are different/better? does anyone know if all that pressure in the crank case is abnormal? thanks.

If you disconnect the PCV you are going to raise the pressure.

The positive ventilation of the cranckase need the sucking effect on the manifold that aid the evacuation of the pressure.

I changed the pcv with a new one and I put the old one ( in the right orientation) into the line going out from the tank.

Now my intake manifold is clean and I don't find much oil in the tank.

Anyway, the oil consumption during the break in period it quite nornmal: my new jdm Spoon B18 c-r engine ( only 10.000 km.) burn a little bit of oil if you ride. No blue smoke, no problem at all, but it burns oil.
I think another reason it is in the exhaust set up ( 2,5 jdm open header + test pipe + 2,5 catback ).

If you don't see blue smoke at full throttle and during the shift gears/release at high rpm I think could be normal
