MACHINING SPECS(MINIMAL RUN OUT)ON A D15B2 HEAD
I need these freaking specs!!!
I have a project in the works and in stead of shaving the head or using the factory style replacement gasket, I want to use a shim-a thin peice of metal pressed out the same as the o.e. style gasket. It is .020"(twenty thousands thick) the o.e. style is .045" (forty five thousands thick).
Piont is, with out the minimal specs you can shave a head down to I can't find out weather or not the difference in the gasket will be to much and destroy my valve train!!!!!!!!!!!!
PLEASE POST.

Well people mill their head .030" so you should be fine clearance wise. I don't know how well your shim will seal though.
