It's a genuine Garrett turbocharger. I felt like I was deep sea diving looking at those pictures

I would say not a garrett. It has no garrett stamps or a tag on the center section.

Those are Garrett's castings, wheels and has an AiResearch stamp on the turbine housing.

all i can tell you is it look VERY similar to mine, precision SC44, partial garrett. its odd that it is not stamped/labeled garett on the compressor side though but i have no experience on that matter though, but looking closely at all the markings, bolts, u-bands that hold the turbo clock and everything about it "looks" just like mine. but do other makers use the same pieces as garrett??

i thought wsl only ordered from phoenix turbo?
so it can't be a precision i think?
as long as its a good turbo and no ssauto or anything like it.
thanks!

I was unaware that Garrett and AiResearch were together. I thought that Garrett and Honeywell were together. At least that is what my turbo says.... and it has Garrett casting stamps.

It definately looks like Garrett internals though. And it for sure is not SSautocrap or XSPower. So I would say that you are good.

Plated parts, grade 5 bolt patterns, and paint markings all over. Unless someone had the ***** to duplicate the name in the casting too, or put a real turbine housing onto a fake center/compressor, I'd say real.

Its not a true garrett unit. Jobber compressor housing (maybe borg?) and old stock air reasearch turbine housing. who knows about the cartrige

all true off the shelf garrett units have garrett housings. here's mine

you have an old garrett turbo....
my garrett has an unmarked compressor housing, just has the ar on it.
most of the new turbos unless its a t3/t04 series do not have garrett on the compressor, the only real identifying mark on the turbine would be the m24 or whatever and the balancing marks identifies it as a true garrett

Now i might not be an expert but it sounds like a piece that makes the Vtec go bye bye

its a set of roller rocker arms and cams... basically it eliminates the stock rocker arms, vtec solenoid and all that ****.

you replace the rocker arms, get a set of cams with only 1 lobe (no primary lobe) and the car is in vtec the whole time, idle, etc. makes a **** ton more power and i can run really aggressive cams that way... and its free

l-con and bdl should also be sponsoring me soon

just so you know, this is a borg warner compressor housing, pretty much identical. it actually looks a little better quality then the one posted first

borg back plate

if your compressor housing is unmarked i highly doubt its a garrett peice. All the true garrett units that come in garrett boxes from garrett say garrett on them

at least all the ones i've seen....

like this; is what the new garrett's look like
