engine still cutting out

engine still cutting out
I have a 89 crx si that is all stock it has the pm6 ecu and is throwing no codes. I have just replaced the fuel filter and check the timing. The timing was off but that did not fix the problem of the motor cutting out. If and one has any ideas of what it could be please help.
